1. Summary

SplitEase is an offline expense splitting and tracking application. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not send your data to any server. Everything you enter remains stored locally on your own device.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

SplitEase does not collect, request, access, or transmit:

Your name, email address, or phone number
Your contacts, messages, or call history
Your photos, videos, files, or audio
Your precise or approximate location
Advertising ID, IP address, or device identifiers
Installed application list
Payment or financial account information
Analytics, crash reports, or behavioural data

SplitEase declares no Android runtime permissions and does not use internet connectivity to upload any information.

3. Information You Enter & Storage

The application stores only the information that you manually enter, including:

Expense titles, notes and amounts
Expense categories and dates
Participant names or nicknames
Paid and owed amounts
Theme, currency, accent colour and other preferences

All information is stored only inside the application’s private storage using a local database and local preferences. It is never transmitted to the developer and cannot be accessed by other applications.

Participant names are simply text entered by you and are not connected to your contacts or any real-world identity.

4. No Accounts, Servers or Third Parties

SplitEase has no sign-up or login system. There are no cloud servers associated with the application. The app does not include:

Advertising SDKs
Analytics services
Crash reporting services
Social login providers
Third-party tracking libraries

Because no information is collected, no information is sold, rented, shared or disclosed.

5. Your Control Over Your Data

Delete individual expenses at any time.
Remove all expenses from the Settings page.
Uninstall the app to erase all locally stored information.

Since everything is stored only on your own device, deleting it removes the data permanently. The developer keeps no copy.

6. Device Backup

SplitEase excludes its local database from Android cloud backup and device transfer. If you reinstall the app or switch to another device, your expense records will not automatically transfer.

7. Children’s Privacy

SplitEase is intended as a general utility application and is not specifically designed for children under 13 years of age. Because no personal information is collected, the application does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

8. Security

Your information remains inside Android’s private application storage, which is isolated from other applications. Since SplitEase never transmits your information over a network, there is no online transfer of your data. Overall device security depends on your device settings, such as screen lock protection and whether the device has been modified.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if SplitEase introduces new functionality. Any future version that collects or transmits information will clearly explain those changes before they become effective. The updated policy will include a revised “Last Updated” date.
